As we wanted to go further with our colour programme we decided Angelus would be perfect. He is a very handsome boy, dark brown almost black so we are hoping he will bring out these darker colours in his progeny.
BREAKING NEWS Angel has given us 10 cria to date and all have been happy and healthy some have been sold and others are gracing the fields but we have now had Angel gelded and are using outside studs to improve our breeding programme.
We decided that we wanted to enter a couple of shows and as complete novices we were hoping to do the Cornwall Show to gain a little experience amongst our CCA crowd and to enter our girls, who are easy to handle and not as boisterous as boys. However because of bad weather it was called off. So off we went with Angel who was entered in the Adult Brown Males at the Devon County show and Xander just came for the ride as a companion animal as alpacas do not like to be on their own. They were very well behaved and it was no trouble getting them onto the trailer at the crack of dawn. We arrived at the show and put them in the pen. Angelus walked round the ring like a pro but when it came to the prodding bits he was not a best pleased and did not stand still. Who could blame him really. Anyway he got a 2nd and we came away with a certificate and a rosette so we were very pleased with our efforts and would definitely do it again. So the picture above shows Stuart with Angel in the centre, I was very proud of both my boys!

Ken and I at the Cornwall Show at Griggs in May 2010. Since then the boys have been sheared and look much more grown up. Lucifer gained a 2nd and the judge was very complimentary about his fleece and he has since gone on to have his fleece judged at the Camborne Show and gained a 1st.
